Terms & Conditions

1. General

When a customer places an order, it implies acceptance of these general terms of sale in their entirety. The sales contract is concluded between The Private Chef, Marián Podola, trading as Zermatt Kaffee (hereinafter “Zermatt Kaffee”), and the customer. These general terms of sale prevail over any other conditions.

2. Product characteristics

All our products are of high quality. No guarantees apply other than those of the producer.

3. Delivery

Orders are usually dispatched to the address provided within 1-2 working days for Priority shipping and 2-3 working days for Economy shipping within Switzerland. Delivery times for international zones are stated on our Delivery page. If a delay occurs, the customer will be informed of the new scheduled delivery time. No deliveries are made on Sundays or on national and cantonal public holidays. Zermatt Kaffee accepts no responsibility for delays caused by inaccurate customer information or by the postal service.

4. Price

The prices invoiced are those applicable on the date of order. Prices are stated in Swiss Francs and include VAT where applicable.

5. Payment

All payments are secured. Zermatt Kaffee accepts payment methods including bank transfer, credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express), Apple Pay, TWINT and PayPal.

6. Data protection

Personal data provided in connection with an order is processed in accordance with our Data Protection notice. Data is treated confidentially and is not passed to third parties except as required to fulfil the order.

7. Ordering

The contract takes effect as soon as the customer's order has been placed and validated.

8. Order acceptance

Orders are accepted after receipt and verification. In exceptional circumstances - for example invalid information provided - Zermatt Kaffee reserves the right to accept or cancel an order.

9. Confirmation

Each customer receives confirmation of their order by email.

10. Returns

No returns are accepted on coffee beans. Where goods are delivered in poor condition, Zermatt Kaffee will exchange the damaged goods provided they are returned with an official postal report. Manufacturers' warranties apply to all other products.

11. Ownership and jurisdiction

Goods remain the property of Zermatt Kaffee until full payment has been received. These terms, and any agreements concluded, are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the Bezirksgericht Visp.
